About Us
In 1984 Tommy and daughter Jan Caswell cofounded Duval Electrical & Breaker Sales. We opened the doors as Duval Electrical Supply, Inc.
The company was opened as an electrical supply house with the concept of stocking material purchased directly from the factory as well as surplus material. Surplus material purchases were made through factory close out items, distributors making a line change or going out of business and contractor material left over from a job.
In the beginning all surplus material was new. It was when we found ourselves accumulating a lot of used items that we became creative in reconditioning supplies like condulets, elbows, and fittings of all kinds.
In 1994 we added the dba Duval Electrical & Breaker Sales and headed toward strictly handling electrical distribution equipment. In 1997 we purchased circuit breaker test equipment for our used circuit breakers. In 2001 Tommy retired and Jan purchased the company from him. We slowly started to purchase new circuit breakers, and by the end of the year we were stocking every brand from 3 to 2500 amp new in factory boxes.
